FOLLOW THE AAUW NATIONAL CONVENTION ACTION ONLINE

The national convention will be June 26-28, and the hot topic of discussion will be the proposals for major changes in the association bylaws. Up-to-date information about the proceedings will be posted on the AAUW web site, http://www.aauw.org.

AAUW's site has two pages for news, so they may be a source for highlights too -
http://www.aauw.org/about/newsroom/ and
http://www.aauw.org/recentNewsInfo.cfm

You might also want to check the AAUW blog at http://blog-aauw.org
and discussions on AAUW’s Facebook site, http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2419848109.

There also is a separate Facebook group for the convention, http://www.new.facebook.com/group.php?gid=33516243905,

and yet another to discuss the proposed elimination of the degree requirement for AAUW membership, http://www.new.facebook.com/group.php?gid=53801486499.

And now there's Twitter as well.  Convention delegates who are using Twitter to post about the convention will use the "hashtag" #aauw09.  That means if you want to receive just the AAUW convention comments out of the real-time twitter stream, do this:
Go to http://search.twitter.com - Enter #aauw09 in the search box and hit "Search"

Or, this link should get to it for you - http://search.twitter.com/search?q=%23aauw09

Time Magazine’s June 15 issue has a feature on Twitter.  It shows the potential for live commentary on the proceedings.
