From the Playwright: My name is Thea Iberall
I am the playwright of a new musical about women's history entitled "We Did It For You! Women's Journey Through History". We performed it last April for the California AAUW State Convention. They were so impressed with it that they invited us to the California Women's Suffrage Centennial this past October in Sacramento. Just some of their appreciative comments can be seen on our website. Lilly Ledbetter is one of the characters in the play -- in fact, she is the tutor that shows up to teach a young high school girl about how women got their rights in this country. The real Lilly came up to me in tears afterwards saying she loved it and wants to see this go nationwide.
I find that branches of AAUW really respond to this play because of its educational and fun aspect. .
From Pat Gorton, Program Committee, AAUW
