April 6th, 2008 AAUW Nominating Report

I would like to thank my nominating committee as well as the local branches for their help and support in nominating members needed to fill the slate of offices open for the year 2008. Beryl Domingo, our current president-elect, will now be assuming her new position as President of AAUW-MA.

The offices that needed to filled were Membership-Vice President, Legal Advocacy Fund-Vice President, Educational Foundation-Vice President, & Secretary. The slate was accepted and the oath of office was performed.

Listed below is the 2008 slate presented:

Membership Vice-Vice President: Elizabeth Orsi, Worcester Branch

Legal Advocacy Fund-Vice President: Sharon Lemoff* , Hingham Area Branch

Educational Foundation-Vice President: Ruth Ladd**, Bedford-Lexington Area

Secretary: Sandra Sousa*, Taunton Area Branch

*Note: Both Sharon & Sandra agreed to continue in their current positions.

**Note: Ruth’s name was added to the slate at the convention & accepted.
